Blackstone Awarded the USDA Food & Nutrition Service (FNS) SWIM Contract
Arlington, VA – January 17, 2013 – Blackstone Technology Group (Blackstone), a leading provider of Technology and IT Management consulting services and solutions for the Federal Government, announced that they won the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) Alfreco based SNAP Workflow and Information Management (SWIM) system to automate key business processes and business rules for waiver processing, policy clarification, querying and reporting services. This contract will help with key business processing workflows and rules related to the SNAP Food Stamp program. In addtion, the application will be deployed to the USDA National Information Technology Center – Data Center and will follow the Agile methodology within the parameters of the FNS systems development life-cycle (SDLC).
Blackstone a member of the Alliant SB CTA has been contracted under the GSA Alliant Small Busienss contract to use the to provide project management, requirements, design, development, deployment services for the SWIM application hosted at the USDA Enterprise Data Center.
